(Undated) One Nebraska blood bank is offering the chance to win College World Series tickets in exchange for life-saving blood donations.
Nebraska Community Blood Banks says they ve had difficulty recruiting donors due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused a shortage of blood and platelets. NCBB says there is currently less than a 3-day supply of all blood types.
NCBB says those who donate now through June 24th, will be entered into a weekly drawing for College World Series session tickets, including the Championship Game on June 29th.
The need for blood is constant and to replenish supplies for Nebraska hospitals, trauma centers, and air ambulance bases, more healthy donors are needed at blood drives and donor centers in the coming weeks. Appointments can be made online here or by calling 1-877-486-9414.
