Stephen H. Crouse, 70, of Tanglewood Manor, died Nov. 26, 2020, at UPMC Chautauqua.
Steve was born Oct. 7, 1950, in Steamburg, N.Y., the second youngest of the nine children of the late Carl and Alma Nephew Crouse.
After graduating from Salamanca High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, becoming a paratrooper.
For his service in Viet-nam, Steve was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (second medal with four campaign stars), Army Award, two Air Medals, Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for Heroism in Ground Combat.
After his honorable discharge, Steve worked at Bush Industries in accounts payable, and earned an as-sociate degree in business administration from James-town Community College.
