A deal to end the 16day shutdown and avoid a National Default was passed by congress and signed late last night by the president. Furloughed federal workers have been ordered to report for work. The measure easily passed the democratically controlled senate. 8118. In the republican controlled house the vote was 285144. 87 republicans voted yes. After the Senate Approved the measure, president obama alluded to the work that lies ahead.
