Baylor University brought together more than 700 volunteers on Tuesday for their 58:10 project, meant to give back and help local organizations fighting food insecurity in McLennan County.
According to a new report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, food insecurity at the national level remained unchanged between 2019 and 2020. In Central Texas, though, it's a different story. One in eight Texan households had trouble putting food on the table in 2020.

The team at Caritas of Waco is getting the final details together to welcome clients back into the building on July 12th.
This after a year over-the-phone services, as well as drive-up grocery needs because of the pandemic.
The staff wants to thank the community for helping them and their clients get to this point. I m excited to see clients in-person, to be able to greet them and it not be through a car window, said Alicia Jallah the Co-Executive Director for Caritas.
