Forbes to host major event in Limerick following controversial article
The magazine had been lambasted following the publication of the article which profiled the Castletroy-educated co-founders of major multinational firm Stripe, John and Patrick Collison.

Forbes chief content editor has committed to hosting an event from Limerick city which could attract an audience of hundreds of millions, following a controversial article about the Treaty City.
The business magazine’s editor said they will host a Forbes ‘30 under 30’ gathering, that would be covered across its global platforms which reach a monthly audience of approximately 200m.

As reported by Alan Healy of this parish, Cork native Micheál Martin “confirmed funding of €353.4 million to enable works for what will be one of the largest regeneration programmes in the State.

The EU has said it is “not triggering the safeguard clause” to ensure the Northern Ireland Protocol is “unaffected” after widespread condemnation following its actions to place export controls on coronavirus vaccines.

Some 4,000 students attended this year s STEM South West Industry and Career Expo, held as a virtual event due to Covid-19.
Students considering a career in any areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) were invited to attend the free expo held last night.
The event saw scores of Cork and Kerry’s largest employers in the areas of science, technology, engineering and maths participate.
