Capital City boys finish fourth to earn school s first-ever state team award

At the end of all three seasons of Capital City’s track and field program’s existence, the Cavaliers and Lady Cavaliers have come home from the Class 5 state track and field championships with a school first. The first girls individual champion was in the first year of the program, the first boys individual champion came last year. This year, they brought home the school’s first team state trophy.

Jays fall to Ladue in Class 5 semifinal game

The Jefferson City Jays fell behind the eight ball early and were never able to quite recover. The Jays took a 2-0 lead but that would be their only lead of the game, as the Ladue Rams gained control with a 13-0 run and held on for a 69-56 victory Friday in the Class 5 semifinals at Hammons Student Center.
