Chris Rock stars as the main character, Detective Ezekiel Zeke Banks. Zeke is tasked with taking charge of an investigation into grisly copycat murders and becomes trapped at the centre of the killer s morbid game.
The 56 year-old star rose to prominence as a cast member of Saturday Night Live.

Digital Spy that as much as the cast, including Chris Rock and Samuel L Jackson, was a draw to do the movie, it was the gender-swapped role that really attracted her. The role was written for a man, so I loved that and I loved that they just gave it to me. They didn t change too many things, she explained. Lionsgate I have some very good friends in law enforcement – lieutenants, detectives – lots of friends. So to see how they ran something, or work as a team, which is vital in situations like that, I could draw from my own experiences of that to create this character, and what she would have to be like.
