With less than three days left to go before the theatrical release of
Spiral: From the Book of Saw on May 14, Lionsgate has released the opening scene clip from Darren Lynn Bousman’s ninth
Saw installment, providing us a preview of one of the film’s many gruesome traps. The video features an unnamed detective as he gets captured by a Jigsaw copycat with a pig mask, who chains him up by his tongue in the middle of active train tracks. Now, the detective must choose whether to let his tongue get severed or get rammed by a speeding train. Check out the full clip in the player below!

Saw, starring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson. The video provides us a glimpse into the father-and-son dynamic of Jackson and Rock’s characters, who will both soon find themselves trapped in Jigsaw’s many games. The film will be arriving in theaters on Friday, May 14.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw centers around Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks, a brash detective working in the shadow of his esteemed police veteran father who must take charge of a grisly investigation into a series of murders eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past alongside his rookie partner William Schenk.
