Investigation is still ongoing. They dont have much information. But as you can see on the southbound side, traffic is moving smoothly. About an hour or so ago, the car was towed away and at that point they opened both lanes of the highway. Right now, police are saying they dont know what caused the accident, but they do know that it claimed the lives of three individuals. They were inside a grand jeep at that point. We did drive past the scene. It was gruesome. A lot of blood splattered on the vehicle that were choosing not to show you at this point because it is disturbing. This could have been worse if firefighters had not made quick decisions when they got there. Reporter they had to call for backup because of what they encountered when they first got here. Were at a larger apartment complex at grant and ashton streets. The fire broke out at this building that youre looking at right now restoration crews are doing remediation work. Firefighters got the call just before midnight. When they arrived, they did not hear spomoke alarms from inside the building. They sprang into action and called for backup while some firefighters went up and down the halls of this multistory building knocking on peoples doors making sure they got up and out.
