Munich security conference last year where the ambassador made quite a remarkable effort to try and to broaden out the conversation beyond the usual transatlantic crowd to the socalled global south. I think actually this year that effort has been deepened and widened even further. However, it is fairly clear that our world is on the one hand more connected, but on the other hand, evermore divided. And this is happening against the backdrop of the war in ukraine and the war in the middle east, which in many respects has divided us deeper. And harder to reconcile.
