The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a plan to proceed with environmental review and extend the deadline for cannabis cultivators to move toward state licensure.
Shortly before 10:00 yesterday morning, Mendocino County Supervisor Glenn McGourty reported from an unusual closed session before the regular Board of Supervisors meeting that, “The Board voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Director Nevedal.”
Supervisor John Haschak said he was "very concerned" about the Cannabis Department's projected budget overage of $662k, and a multi-million reporting error in a $17.5 million state grant.
The head of the cannabis department told a Board of Supervisors committee that she wants to use state grant money to fund department expenses, including legal advice and staffing.
