Shortly before 10:00 yesterday morning, Mendocino County Supervisor Glenn McGourty reported from an unusual closed session before the regular Board of Supervisors meeting that, “The Board voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Director Nevedal.”
Union members expressed skepticism that the county can't afford higher pay. Public comments and correspondence from department heads and citizens' groups are no longer attached to meeting agendas, ostensibly because the county can't afford clerks.
