The LTFRB 7 has announced that more PUVs will be deployed on the streets to shuttle health workers and authorized persons outside resident for free. (AMPER CAMPAÑA) + May 23, 2021 THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) 7 has already deployed 47 public utility buses, tourist bus and tourist vans to service health care workers in Cebu for free. The agency, with the Department of Transportation, has also deployed 95 modern public utility jeepneys (MPUJs) to ferry authorized persons outside of residence (Apor) in Cebu for free. LTFRB 7 Director Eduardo Montealto Jr. said they will deploy 86 more public utility vehicles (PUVs) for Apor that will ply provincial, inter-city and Cebu City routes.

Personnel of the Mandaue City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Mandaue City Fire Station held the simulation near two big commercial establishments in Barangay Guizo.

Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu confident of meeting targets

January 14, 2021 BOTH the Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu City Governments are confident of clearing all public roads of obstructions by Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, the deadline for the completion of the second round of road clearing operations (RCO 2.0). Edwin Jumao-as, head of the Mandaue City Enforcement Unit (MCEU), reported an accomplishment rate of 80 percent as of Wednesday, Jan. 13. “We have not checked the national and city roads yet because we have been focusing on barangay roads,” he said. He said they aim to surpass their 89 percent accomplishment rate in the first round of road clearing operations in 2019. The City is scheduled for evaluation by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Jan. 18 to 22.
