The target, to purchase grocery items and Christmas presents for 600 families, including about 1,500 children, was $140,000.
In an earlier interview, Clark said the excess funds collected will be distributed among the North Bay Crisis Centre, the North Bay Food Bank and the Canadore College Food Bank.
