Canada Immigration, Student Visa News: In order to reduce the impact of international students on housing and address the issues related to the institutional practices, Canadian Immigration Minister Marc Miller recently announced a 2-year cap on student visas. Reportedly, this move aims to restrict the number of student visas granted and target institutions that exhibit unpleasant practices.
Canada is capping international student intake for two years; for 2024, the cap will result in a decrease of 35 percent in approved study permits. New eligibility criteria for Post-Graduation Work Permit Program have also been announced.
Study Visa permits in Canada for India students, Immigration news: In a major development, a report stated that the number of study permits, issued to Indian students by Canada, has fallen sharply, late last year, after New Delhi ejected Canadian diplomats who would process the permits.
