The National Investigation Agency (NIA) chargesheeted Manpreet Singh alias Peeta, a close aide of Canada-based designated terrorist Arsh Dala, in the terror-gangster network case. Peeta, who was operating a crime-terror-extortion node from the Philippines on the directions of Dala, was deported from the Philippines and arrested by NIA. Peeta and his aide Mandeep Singh would identify extortion targets, threaten them into paying huge amounts, and resort to violence if they refused to comply. This is the third chargesheet filed by NIA in the multi-state terrorist-gangster-drug smuggler network case.
