To prove that the value we have always associate d with a College Degree is still there and that its worth the money that colleges and universities are charging for it. Here at purdue, we talk about Higher Education at the highest proven value. That may sound obvious, thats the way we buy Everything Else in life. We look at quality compared to the price we pay. Thats not whats been going on in Higher Education. Higher ch
Across kabul years before. It just simply was too dangerous. It is still a dangerous place, by the way. I dont want to sound pollyannish here. Things havent is changed for the better in afghanistan and the American People, sadly, dont know it. Relative to the american by way ofy itself part of the story, of course, is the growth in the number of students. When it opened i think it with 53 students. There is now 1,000 students there. 300 of them are women. And they have a broad number of courses. I wont go into all those. On ann a a newd campus an International Campus womens economic. Defense dollars to open up a womens Economic Development school, a. I. D. . t that why is it d. O. D. . Significantly to the security of the country, but i think basically the answer is because the d. O. D. Did a number of things including some of the commanders expenditures which helped the development of that is so essential to its security and this is part of it. Master degrees and doctorates who have shown proficiency and gone to college, sit and purport to be for the kids when you have 3 of the africanamerican students proficient . How can we say that and not once have i heard what are you going do about that . Were going to do something about that and that is with a our Strategic Plan is about and you are with us or not and we welcome and join arms with the naacp, who have said, by the way, they are getting not one dime. Not one penny and going out and raising their own funding to support our students at mlk and in the spirit of Martin Luther king jr. , who went to jail because he wanted a Better Future, were going to do whatever it takes to ensure that our kids have a Better Future at mlk. But as you think about this, i want you to think about 8, 3, 33, and 17. And when we Start Talking about those numbers being 100 , then were talking about what the real work is about.
