The Alameda County board of supervisors is about to vote on a new lease for the oakland as. Mark kelly joins us from oakland. Reporter they are about to vote. We dont have the final vote just yet. They are upstairs talk about this right now. Supervisor miley who also sits on the joint Powers Authority for the oakland as calling this a solid deal this morning. Of course, this final vote is in favor of the new 10year lease for the oakland as at the oakland coliseum. Once we get the final vote well let you know. This has been a long back and forth. At one point as owner lew wolff said he was ready to move the team if the city council for oakland didnt start making their decision. By sunday morning the diamond was a swamp flooded with up to 100,000 gallons of water in the middle of a drought. Hurts the whole community because everybody is trying to conserve water. Reporter but it didnt stop there. The vandals poured chalk all over the field and ripped banners to shreds. The most damage was done to the pitchers mound. It should be symmetrical on both sides but you can see this side is eroded. There are holes in it and the dirt around the rubber is eroded, as well. It will cost about 5,000 to fix all this.
