Hour, firefighters think it burned for quite some time before anybody noticed. The fire then jumped to a house and then heavily damaged it and then spread to three more houses. A lot of folks are in bed and by the time they tried to escape, there was a lot of smoke and flames. Many of them had to run past the house that was fully engulfed and had smoke inhalation. One man had burns to his back and went to the hospital. All injuries are minor at this point. Bay. More triple digit temperatures today, and it it is safe to say that the bay area is feeling the heat. The firefighters had to not only battle the heat today as well as a brush fire. Jana katsuyama is live on the scene. Fire crews had difficulty getting water when they arrived and found there were no fire hydrants nearby. Reporter that was a big problem, heather.
