An online statement, issued by the City of Kamloops after 1:15 p.m., said the municipality is aware the TNRD has issued an evacuation alert for the White Rock Lake Fire that extends up to the southeast city boundary near Barnhartvale and, at this point, the fire is not a threat to Kamloops. “BC Wildfire is monitoring the fire and will notify the City if it becomes a threat. We will post updates if the situation changes,” the city’s statement read.
