Tonight in nepal, desperation is turning into despair as more violent aftershocks rattle the region. More than 3200 people are confirmed dead from yesterdays earthquake including at least three americans. Many more are hurt. The international kmurnt is trying to help with relief efforts. Today an American Military plane left dovers air force base with a disaster systems reresponse team and 45 tons of cargo. Our chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engle takes us to nepal tonight. Reporter flying into kahn katmandu today on a plane full of turkish aid workers, it was clear after saturdays massive earthquake nepal is bracing for worse to come. Good monday morning. Im ryan smith in for t. J. Holmes. And im reena ninan. We begin with the breaking developments out of nepal. The scramble to find survivors buried under a mountain of destruction. The death toll from saturday saturdays 7. 8 earthquake and aftershocks as passed 3,000. Across nepals capital, kathmandu, the scene is utter devastation. Piles of rubble, bodies and shellshocked survivors too afraid to go back indoors. And the sheer magnitude of the power of this earthquake can best be seen in these before and after photos of kathmandus collapsed landmark, mission tower. The ninestory tower was built in 1832 and these pictures show part of the old royal palace. These photos were taken just an hour apart before and after that earthquake. Meantime, were getting a look at how deadly the drama played out on mt. Everest.
