The rock band is the product of when professional musicians go from being supporting members of other bands to lead roles in their own with some help from COVID-19 circumstances, too. Astoria State is composed of Danny Resnick (lead vocals and guitar), Jesse Carroll (guitar) and Cameron Horst (bass guitar).
Resnick is still the keyboardist and backup vocalist, and Carroll is tour manager for the rock band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, which first gained fame in 2006 with the release of its hit single, “Face Down.”
“When we first talked about it, we re like, ‘Oh, it d be dope. We could get this together and then maybe just take it on tour with Jumpsuit,’ because we already travel with Jumpsuit anyway,” Resnick said. “We were like, ‘Wow, if we could make that work.’ All the stars aligned I guess you could say. We re just like beside ourselves.”
