Mark Froehle, a Nisswa resident since 2016, will join the Nisswa City Council for a two-year term that expires at the end of 2022.
A four-member council on Monday, Feb. 1, interviewed four applicants to fill Mike Hoff’s term after Hoff moved out of the city limits and resigned his seat. Applicants were Cameron Dorion, Bob Fier, Froehle and Galen Strovers.
Mayor John Ryan and council members Don Jacobson, Ross Krautkremer and Mark Utzinger, as well as City Administrator Jenny Max, indicated all four applicants were good candidates. They encouraged the three candidates who weren’t appointed to the council to seek appointment to the city’s Public Works Commission.
