ROCKPORT At 8:45 p.m., July 27, the Maine Warden Service located a body at the bottom of the Simonton Quarry on Main Street n Rockport, following a full day’s search using a remote operated vehicle.
Camden and Rockport police, along with the wardens, recovered the body with the assistance of the Rockport Fire Drpartment.
“The body has been turned over to the State Medical Examiner’s Office,” said Camden Police Chief Randy Gagne. “The circumstances do not appear suspicious.”
The investigation continues, and identification of the body and notification of next of kin remains underway.
