Tom costello is following the latest on this rescue operation. The Fire Department calling this a major rescue operation thats playing out as we speak. Theyve brought in a giant crane to help free 17 miners who have underneath the cayuga salt mine. Theyre planning to lower a basket down to lift out the miners two or three at a time. The 17 miners became trapped about 10 20 last night when they were headed down to the mine. 2,300 feet below ground, starting their shift. The
