Nicholas James Cadman, 28, was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm in March after he allegedly struck a 45-year-old man in the side of the face at the Malt Shovel Taphouse at Birtinya. Police will allege the victim sustained serious injuries when his head hit the concrete after being struck by Mr Cadman about 11pm on March 27. Mr Cadman allegedly left without offering assistance. The victim had been asked to take a photograph of a woman on the dancefloor when the alleged offender attacked him, according to police.
