It claimed the life of a 14yearold boy. Students heading in George Reed Middle School the morning after losing a classmate. 14yearold tyler span was a seventh grader at the school that his sister also attended. Its a tough loss for us, well pull together for tyler and his sister. Shortly before 3 00, police say that tyler and Three Friends were trying to cross the route 13 and basin road. He stepped in front of a toyota camry and tyler was hit and thrown. He was pronounced dead in the hospital. The driver remained at the scene and the other teens made it across and were not injured. They were a quarter mile away from the pedestrian foot bridge. We have a support system in place so the counselors and staff were ready. They came from around the district to help the support staff with the grieving students. Tyler was a special kid. Every day he came in with his black and white bucket hat. In his honor many students showed up with cool bucket hats. Investigators dont believe that drugs or
A fellow Church Member sitting behind him touched his shoulder apparently told him he had taken an already occupied seat. They were able to calm braxton down. And storms who was standing at the back of the church with his wife and son came up and confronted braxton. He had a gun out escalating the situation. Braxton then took a swing at the shooter punching him in the jaw and the defendant shoots the victim twice. Braxton was hit twice in the chest area and died at the hospital. Storm has no official capacity at the church and was never in law enforcement. But flashed a fake badge during the confrontation and is charged with voluntary manslaughter with the apparent intent to kill and firing a weapon in church filled with up to 300 people. This is the situation where a gun is introduced into a fist fight. The victim has no weapon him and therefore it would be unreasonable for selfdefense to lead to no charges in this.
