California Deadlines to Report Employee Pay and Hours Worked

Thursday, February 11, 2021 Pursuant to Government Code Section 12999, employers of 100 or more employees, and at least one California employee, must report pay and hours worked data by establishment, job category, pay band, sex, race, and ethnicity to the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). The deadline to do so is March 31, 2021 and annually on every March 31 thereafter. California Pay Data Reporting: New Web Page and 10 FAQs for Employers That Report to the DFEH Friday, February 5, 2021 On September 30, 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law a pay data reporting requirement for employers that assigns responsibility for collecting such data to the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH).
