CONCORD, CA A magnitude 3.o earthquake struck the Concord area Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The quake hit at 4:48 p.m. Thursday with the epicenter in Concord, in the vicinity north of Cowell Road and west of Galindo Street.
Initially recorded as a 3.1-magnitude, Thursday s earthquake was felt in Concord, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Antioch, Alamo, Moraga, Orinda, Danville, Benicia, Crockett, Clayton and Pittsburg.
