View Comments Burger Factory, a fast-food restaurant in central Phoenix, closed after more than two decades in business, making way for a popular new cafe from California. The restaurant, housed in white box-front building with red trim and rainbow stripe, sits on the northwest corner of Seventh Avenue and Osborn Road. The no-frills dining room and drive-thru were open from breakfast to dinner and served a variety of sandwiches, burgers, gyros and Mexican food. One special, a hefty sandwich with layers of beef patties, pastrami, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion, was called the King Kong. Burger Factory s Facebook page announced June 25 as its last day of service.
