Burger Factory, a fast-food restaurant in central Phoenix, closed after more than two decades in business, making way for a popular new cafe from California.
The restaurant, housed in white box-front building with red trim and rainbow stripe, sits on the northwest corner of Seventh Avenue and Osborn Road. The no-frills dining room and drive-thru were open from breakfast to dinner and served a variety of sandwiches, burgers, gyros and Mexican food.
One special, a hefty sandwich with layers of beef patties, pastrami, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion, was called the King Kong.
Burger Factory's Facebook page announced June 25 as its last day of service.
