Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had moved an urgent motion before the High Court highlighting the rampant violence that broke out across West Bengal on polling day.
The bench noted that there are chances of post poll violence as winning candidates might celebrate etc and a law and order situation might arise, therefore it ordered deployment of forces for 10 additional days.
