Got an update from investigators. Whats the very latest out there . Reporter i just spoke with chp and they have now confirmed they are investigating this as a possible hit and run. Four people dead, six injured, including one child. If you look behind me here, you can see traffic is still bumper to bumper, sluggish on eastbound i80 through san pablo. All westbound lanes of i80 through san pablo have been shut down at San Pablo Dam road. Now, chp tell me this started just after 8 00 p. M. Theyre still trying to investigate the cause of this accident but they say one of the cars, a white suv, flipped and overturned. That was the car that may have been hit by the hitandrun driver. Now, the driver of the white suv was transported to the hospital, but his four passengers all were pronounced dead at the scene. We dont know the identity of the driver or the passengers. Five other people were also injured in this accident, including a child. Again, we dont know the extent of their injuries. W

It will spread to the rest of the bay area by sunrise. This will begin in the north bay early tomorrow morning around 3 am. Then gusty winds will accompany it, briefly heavy rain on sunday morning and south of the golden gate after sunrise. Rain totals, 12 inches in the upper elevations in the north bay. Im here with meteorologist Lawrence Karnow with more on the timing of the storm. Lawrence karnow it was a very mild start to the weekend with some near record temperatures. There have been plenty of clouds moving overhead but no rain yet. That is all about to change as a significant storm is headed our way. We are seeing a few raindrops off the coast on our Doppler Radar but the bulk of the storm isnt expected until late tonight and early tomorrow morning.
