The traffic police conducted a special drive on January 31 against auto rickshaw drivers who demanded excess fare or committed other violations. And shockingly, 336 auto rickshaw drivers were booked for denying rides to passengers and 357 drivers were booked for demanding excess fare, 299 drivers were booked for violating the No Entry norm, and 234 drivers were booked for other violations. The traffic police collected a penalty of Rs 6,35,200 from the auto rickshaw drivers for violating the traffic norms.
