Hillsborough County libraries giving free face coverings to residents and small businesses Businesses can request a quantity of 100 face coverings Canva and last updated 2020-12-10 11:26:59-05 HILLSBOROUGH, Fla. — Hillsborough County will provide free, reusable cloth face coverings to residents at two dozen libraries beginning Thursday, Dec. 10. In addition, the county is offering operators of small businesses the ability to request a one-time quantity of 100 face coverings, while supplies last. While supplies last, residents can pick up two of the reusable face coverings and can request face coverings for immediate family members not present. Distribution hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Blythe Andrews, Jr. Public Library sits a life-size bronze sculpture designed to celebrate both reading and diversity in the historically Black neighborhood of College Hill. Designed by McArthur Freeman, USF associate professor of animation and digital modeling, the sculpture titled An Open Book features two African American children engrossed in a book. Situated between the two children is a globe emerging from the book s pages.
