Share: COLOMBO (News 1st): Several Grama Niladhari Divisions in Wellawaya and Buttala were isolated with effect from 6:00 AM on Wednesday morning (Apr. 28), given the high rate of COVID-19 patients reported from the respective areas, the National Operations Centre on Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said. The Wellawaya City, Veherayaya Grama Niladhari Division, and Kottangahapokuna GS Division of Wellawaya were isolated with effect from 6:00 AM today (Apr. 28), Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operations Centre on Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) told News 1st. According to the Army Commander, Rathdalagama GS Division of Buttala was also placed under isolation with effect from 6:00 AM on Wednesday (28).
