we begin this hour with breaking news, the final nbc news poll of the midterms is out now, just two days before the election. it shows a highly competitive landscape and what could be one of the most consequential elections in u.s. history. among all registered voters, congressional preference is tied at among likely voters, 58% say they prefer a democratic-controlled congress compared to 47% for republican controlled. our poll also finds democrats have no pulled even with republicans in enthusiasm, and identical 73% from both parties say they are highly interested. registering either a nine or ten on a ten-point scale. and when it comes to the most important issue, 23% of registered voters say it is threats to democracy. 20% say jobs in the economy, and 17% say the cost of living. earlier today on nbc news, leading members of both parties say both issues will propel them to victory. we have great candidates, people are showing up to vote. there is no this election is a
