Institute for International Economic economics. Its an hour. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to our previously schedule programming. It is my pleasure to continue from our Economics Panel according to our practical world. We have as a special treat today, Mark Bertolini the chairman and ceo of aetna who is going to talk about the role of Corporate America in reestablishing the american middle class. Thats about as targeted and blunt a title as you can have, which i find very typical of mark. Many of you have become familiar with him recently he got him mens coverage in the New York Times and elsewhere for his leadership. I think it is fair to say the word leadership and taking aetna forward and then amongst other companies in vool tearvoluntary raiseing the wages of its vast share of low wageworkers within its company, something that so far at least none of the other Major Health Insurers in the u. S. Have announced. We have gotten to know mark over the last few years. Hes been a me

I want to try to explore some of the different Delivery Systems that youre talking about there, whether its space heating, efficient design, housing technologies. I was out in an isolated territory with the secretary of state on friday. You realize how isolated these communities are, even communities of significant size and significant resource. But the challenges they face, they also are exclusively powered by diesel. And expensive. Extraordinarily, extraordinarily expensive. So how we deal with this. And weve got so much to learn from one another. And this is where i think we have certain advantages coming at us as we take over the chair of the arctic counsel, how we can be partnering with our northern neighbors in understanding some of the best technologies that are out there. But i would encourage us to look at what we have, developing in alaska, whether its the Cold Climate Housing Research center, the Innovative Technologies that have been coming out of there in regards to sustai
Facts of this case the Economic Situation are somewhat different that are ordinarily true in this industry because as handlers the hornes actually assumed the full financial responsibility for the raisins that were not turned over to the department of agricultural. The producers in this case were fully paid for their raisins. This is a factual finding to be found in the judicial officers opinion at 66 a of the appendix to the petition. The hornes paid the producers for their raisins corn to the judicial officer, those raisins became part of the inventory of the hornes. When the risen Administrative Committee which i will refer to as the r. A. C. Came after the raisins it was the hornes and the hornes only who bore the economic burden of this taking. I thought the growers were paid only for the volume that they were permitted that was permitted the permitted volume and that they were not paid for what goes in the reserve pool . Justice ginsburg that is true in the ordinary coarse. That
Port of entry. What in your overall system today categorically prevents that . So we have a notification system. When we refuse an entry that electronic notification system not only notifies customs and border protection, but all the other fda district offices imports. And so how is that batch tagged indelibly so that that notification is meaningful so that those other ports can identify the same batch were talking about. So as you may be aware, weve been looking working for many years to try to get a marking rule that would provide that marking of the product. That is not in place yet. But right now, we do notifications based off the data that we have on who the importer, is what the commodity line is, and make sure everyone is aware about that shipment was refused. So if they there isnt a set marking rule. So if they change the packaging or any of the markings, they could very possibly get away with what im describing . The system is not foolproof. I agree with you. But we do do noti
