Enfield and Haringey Covid rates below 100 cases per 100,000

By Simon Allin @SimonAllin3 Local Democracy Reporter, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Covid rates are now below 100 cases per 100,000 people Seven-day Covid-19 infection rates in Enfield and Haringey have dropped below 100 new cases per 100,000 people. The infection rates in both boroughs are significantly below the UK average and lower than those in most other local authorities in London. It came as Prime Minister Boris Johnson unveiled a roadmap out of lockdown in England, which could see all restrictions lifted from June 21. Enfield, which had one of the highest rates in the country at the beginning of January, saw just 72 new cases of the virus per 100,000 people in the seven days to February 17 – a 41 per cent drop compared to the previous week.
