Burlington, IA- The Burlington Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting an Open House on the upcoming Dankwardt Park Playground Project. The open house will be held Tuesday, August 16th, at 5 PM in rooms A and B in the Burlington Public Library. The event is free and open to the public. Information and images will be available for view, with a presentation on the project at 5:30 PM and time for questions and answers following. The Parks Department will discuss the site and playground components, project timing, fundraising needs, community input and support, and goals of the project. This large-scale project will replace the existing and outdated Dankwardt Park playground with new playground structures, play elements, surfacing, sidewalk connections, and site amenities that are inclusive, accessible, challenging and imaginative.
