Eight hours earlier medic unit from the same firehouse is towed away, unusable after transmission problems, both incidents captured on video and given to Eyewitness News. On may 22nd a philadelphia truck Enforcement Police officer tells officials that this firehouse, one of their engines is unusable. Its tire suspect to blow out at any moment. Sources that told Eyewitness News about those problems say they are merely symptoms of the Department Wide issue. Fire trucks and medic units all in break down too often. Fire Fighter Union president joe shule agrees. The condition of the fleet has never been this bad.
