Share: COLOMBO (News 1st): The Conference titled Let’s Defeat Capitalism and Build People’s Power for Socialism organized by The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna for the International Labour Day was held online today. At the event, Leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna – Anura Kumar Dissanayake said, there are two serious issues that our economy has faced. He said the first is the fact that the treasury does not have enough funds to meet the expenses of the Government and that a sum of 2 billion US dollars must be paid back. He said the Government opted to take more loans to pay off these loans.
