where no one has been prosecuted for actually giving the order for the burglars to break into the democratic national convention june 17th. even what they were doing there remains relatively the subject of a different competing theories. it s normally short handed bugging operation but it seems just as possible they were in there trying to uncover blackmail material either on the democrats or to figure out what the democrats had on richard nixon. it s so interesting you say that. if you were to ask 30 people in washington what the genesis of it was, they would tell you an answer and that it was done. it s agreed upon this is what happened. it has no answer. my question is do you think there will ever be one. you ve written this comprehensive extraordinary work. do you think anybody will be able to figure out what it was. this is part what makes it 50
