The family of the Corrections Department employee that was killed in a shooting near the Target in Southwest Bakersfield earlier this week has released a statement.
The Kern County Coroner has identified the woman who died in a traffic accident on Highway 119 Monday morning as Linda Joyce Beaty, 80, of Bakersfield.
The City of Bakersfield said the northbound lanes of the Allen Road Bridge will be closed starting at 9 p.m., Thursday, July 14th, for a joint sealing project.
