Winona opens ice rinks Site staff
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) The city of Winona has begun to open outdoor skating rinks, it said Friday; however, it will follow state regulations and require strict COVID-19 safety protocol, including mask-wearing and physical distancing.
Open outdoor rinks include in Knopp Valley, Valley Oaks, Tillman, Jay Bee Drive and Wincrest. Lake Lodge and the adjacent outdoor rink will be open for skating and plans for outdoor skate pick-up and rentals will be announced when finalized.
The use of the rinks are directly related to weather and any stretch of warmer days could bean short-term closures.
