Saturday the Bearcats defense dominated the Wildcats, Forward George Tinsley had a game high 16 points, scoring the first eight points for the Bearcats, and closing the first half on a 19-11 run.
BU came out of halftime with a 27-7 run and sealed the deal, holding an opponent to the lowest score (44pts) in the last seven years.
Game two saw the Bearcats lead most of the game, and had a seven point advantage late in the second half, the Wildcats pulled to within two with less then a minute in regulation, the Bearcats had a chance to win the game, but missed free-throw attempts to put the game into overtime.

Binghamton s 44 points was 21 points under its season scoring average. Their guys have been around for a long time, said coach Tommy Dempsey about the Catamounts. They played pretty much all juniors and seniors that have won a lot of games together. Have been through a lot of wars. They re kind of a well oiled machine.
