– The Bearcats boys volleyball team hosted the Bullard Knights on Saturday. The Bullard program is led by Coach Roy Verduzco in his 39th season at the helm of the Knights. The Knights played the Arroyo Grande Eagles earlier on Saturday and finished their doubleheader in Paso.

Saturday the Bearcats defense dominated the Wildcats, Forward George Tinsley had a game high 16 points, scoring the first eight points for the Bearcats, and closing the first half on a 19-11 run.
BU came out of halftime with a 27-7 run and sealed the deal, holding an opponent to the lowest score (44pts) in the last seven years.
Game two saw the Bearcats lead most of the game, and had a seven point advantage late in the second half, the Wildcats pulled to within two with less then a minute in regulation, the Bearcats had a chance to win the game, but missed free-throw attempts to put the game into overtime.
Bearcat Women Defeat UMass Lowell
The Bearcat women split the weekend series with UMass with a 59-49 loss on Saturday.

Denai Bowman continues to shine as the Bearcats top player with a 20-point game (8 for 18) Sunday, playing the complete game (40 minutes), a first in her career.
The team defense spoiled a late game comeback by the River Hawks, and sealed the victory.
The Bearcats are in fifth place in the America East 4-8 overall, and 4-6 in conference.

BU Men and Woman Score First Wins of the Season
The Binghamton University Bearcat Man scored their first win of the season with a 75-69 victory over Maryland-Baltimore County yesterday afternoon.
Brenton Mills was the high man with 22 points, Bryce Beamer put in 20 points and 10 rebounds, Dan Petcash contributed 10 points.

The Bearcats are 1-3 in conference play and 1-6 overall, the victory broke a seven-game win streak for the UMBC Retrievers who are 3-1 in conference and 7-2 overall.
