Observation: There’s certainly something to be said for a live film screening and all its trappings whispered commentary from your friend sitting one seat over, an excuse to eat a tub of butter delivered via popcorn kernel. But by and large, the movie medium is one that’s kept much of its thrill for audiences over the last year, despite its being relegated to virtual and streaming platforms as opposed to, say, live music or theater. We were already used to doing most of our movie watching at home, anyway. And if you’re one of many who bought a home projector and rigged up a big white bedsheet on the wall during quarantine, you already know.

Bury Town’s players have returned to training following the lifting of the restrictions for outdoor team sport, and the Blues will take part in 3 friendly matches in April as part of early preparations for next season.
The season was officially curtained recently, but manager Ben Chenery says he is already looking ahead to next season after a promising campaign was cut short following a successful FA Cup run and an unbeaten start to the League season.
In a statement posted on the clubs website, Chenery said “I hope that all our supporters and sponsors are keeping well. It was a great disappointment that our season was suspended and then declared finished, but this was realistically the only option given the restrictions and timescales.

Timothy Stafford
Stafford is charged with two counts of impersonating a law enforcement officer and two counts of second degree kidnapping after individuals in their vehicle felt they could not leave the area during the incident, according to a news release.
Deputies say they responded to a complaint that an individual was approached in a parking lot by a man who presented a badge and claimed to be a Sheriffs Deputy on Tuesday, December 29th around 9:30 p.m. near the Wittenburg Wildlife Access of Shiloh Church Road.
Detectives say Stafford claimed to be on duty as part of a stake out operation with others watching the area from the woods, when he approached a car with two individuals, and warned them there had been break ins in the area.
