BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) As eager snow-goers in Central Oregon made their way up toward Mt. Bachelor Tuesday morning, many became stuck in a long line of traffic.
NewsChannel 21 received emails and phone calls from skiers reporting traffic was stopped.
One person said it took him three hours to make it to the mountain.
When we arrived, traffic was back to a crawl. We didn t have a winter, so everybody s trying to jump on board and get as much snow as we can right now, snowmobiler Bryan Harrison of Bend said.
the sighting happened in vacaville. it s a popular rest stop for folks headed from the sierra. reporter: this is the area that the mountain lion was seen. one thing about vacaville is there s a lot of rest areas like these that are populated ones. there were tense moments when vacaville officers and game wardens searched this area. a man reported seeing a mountain lion next to the wild wings. after an extensive search. fish and game warden say they did not find any evidence of a mountain lions in the area and they say they don t know if the sighting was of the same mountain lion seen earlier at an elementary school about a mile away. our main concern was being close to the school in case that someone was confronted or even saw a mountain lion. next thing you know we were called that it was a mile away. reporter: the mountain lion was seen resting by the school. they asked school officials to lock down the school and keep children inside. after searching for hours, autho

third and blue in the bay have you district. we are told that 22-year-old man got to that corner and then started firing at another man who then shot back. one of those bullets hit the little girl in the knee. new the child s father first thought she had simply tripped. then he realized his girl had been shot. he picked her up, carried her about 2 blocks where he found a police officer in the meantime people on that sidewalk scattered into stores for their safety. when i came out we looked up the street and i seen everybody running. i seen the little girl on the ground and the father picked her up and he was very disvut and upset because innocent victim got hit again by senseless gun play you know what i m saying. i heard she s stable. doing well. spirits are up. i heard that she was shot in her knee and she s already convinced her mother that she s out of school for the rest of the week. reporter: if the girl was rushed to san francisco general hospital where she is des
