Last week we lost two subscribers to the Coastal Courier and Bryan County News because they weren’t happy with an editorial cartoon which ran in the papers and one wasn’t happy with the performance of the United States Postal Service in delivering our papers.
Memorial Health University Medical Center’s plan to build a freestanding emergency room in Richmond Hill has hit a roadblock in the form of other area hospitals. An appeal by St. Joseph’s/ Candler, Effingham Hospital and Liberty Regional Medical Center led the state Department of Community Health to reverse it’s awarding of a certificate of need to Memorial Health.

The mysterious “Project Falcon” took another step forward earlier this month when Richmond Hill City Council approved the abandonment of portions of city right of way on Thunderbird Drive and Shelby Lane in the Ford Park of Commerce.
The abandonment will apparently make room for a 140,000 square foot structure being developed by Atlanta-based TPA Group, LLC.
The bare-chested guy in fur coat and Viking helmet (or whatever it was) summed it all up pretty well, I thought, especially since he was holding a spear. This country’s gone nuts.
